Here is a aviation site that Don and I use for our flying at the Huntersville field. It only covers a few days but it is very accurate. Check it each day.
Concord airport is only eight miles from the Huntersville field.

Truck is packed and I'm yanking Sam out of school at noon tomorrow. At the field bright and early Friday. You guys always put on a great contest.
-
I'll be there earlier than usual Friday. That's the plan, anyway. I want to be at the judging clinic if there is one.

The stunt Judging clinic will happen around 4:00 pm on Friday , good oportunity to get some judging experience. It helps with flying too .

Busy day at the field . The weather was warm , more talking and catching up. Wind was mild but gusty , not perfect weather for flying , but great for catching up. OTS Circle was busy most of the day , break for lunch then back to flying ,
Above normal turnout for Friday practice day, combat put on a good show ,
Tomorrow is OTS , Profile, N-30 and Basic .. Combat and all of Carrier events,, 5 circles going all at once , busy day. Pilots meeting at 9;45. First official flight for Saturday at 10:00 am
Congratulation to Ron Colombo for winning 1/2 A combat , these combat guys know how to have fun..

What a great day for flying model airplanes, the perfect weather conditions, non changing mild winds, overcast sun free flying and mild temps in the upper 70 's .. As Tom Luper says, it just don't get better than this .
Very competitive groups in all events, but more important is hanging out with good friends , sharing modeling stories , family adventures and catching up with our growing families ,
great too see kids of all ages flying too..
I will post pictures as soon as I get photos edited

As usual, Will and his crew did an outstanding job with the event. y1 y1
I judged expert, and the pilots put on quite the show. #^ #^
One of the special moments for me was watching Derrick Berry put in a REALLY impressive flight with a Thunderbird powered by a Fox 35!
Can't wait for October.

Loved reading the reports.
I was out backpacking in NC at this time.

Yeah, me too. Hopefully I'll be back to flying well before then. And thanks, Bob and Dave, for letting me shadow judge with you guys. Judging ain't a damn bit easier than flying. Especially standing on those steep grass slopes by the circles.
It was a whole lot easier for me to score the guys that fly around and occasionally whiff the ground, add in the occasional inverted landing(all were soft), than it is to score the remarkable maneuvers flown by the experts.

Looks like a whole lot of really nice planes, thanks for all the great pics!
