========== MAY - 2nd 3rd & 4th  “CAROLINA CLASIC” ==========
First weekend in MAY. More time between Our Event and Brodak
OTS Judges seminar Friday from 4:00 – 6:00pm

========== OCTOBER - 17th 18th & 19th   “ CAROLINA CRITERIUM” ==========
We are part of BRODAK CHAMPIOMSHIP SERIES for the October Contest only

- Carolina Spirit award
- Ringo Trophy awarded to Winner in Advanced Stunt
- Build and Fly event – NO entry fee

Contest site open all week for Control Line on the Control Line circles, R/C flying will be closed on Friday, Sat & Sun.
Large shelter, with tables, for contestants and spectators. Two paved circles, One grass circle and a practice area off the RC runway

All PAMPA and AMA Rules Apply,
- NO Builder of the Model Rule (Stunt)( Scale)
- NO Appearance points in any event (Stunt)(Scale)
- Mid-Air does NOT end match (Combat)

SCALE 9:00am Start – Dale Campbell Event Director
- F4B (Flying scores only)
COMBAT 9:30am  - Wayne Foster event Director. Double or triple elimination depending on number of entries
- Speed Limit (75mph),  .018 x 60’ lines. Any Engine Plane or Fuel System
- Unofficial 1/2a high perf. .012 x 42’ lines. Ball bearing eng.to.051 plain bearing eng. up to .061. (Time permitting)
AMERICAN JUNIOR EVENT  - 3:00pm Start - James Duckworth Event Director
- AJ 404 Glider Flyoff for Frank Macy Perpetual Trophy. (FREE Event)

- Expert
COMBAT – 9:00am Start - Wayne Foster or Howard Shenton as Event Director (if needed)
- Unofficial 1/2a high perf. ..012 x 42’ lines .Ball bearing engines up to .051 plain bearing engines up to .061. .
- Basic Flight starts at 12: 00

================= DIRECTIONS to the FIELD: =================
At Interstate 77 exit #23. Go east towards Huntersville. Cross over US-21 still going east for about 1 mile until you get to rt. 115. Turn RIGHT on 115 and go about 1 mile. Look for contest sign on left side of the road. This will be Holbrooks Road. Turn left onto Holbrooks road and go about 1.3 miles. Turn left at the guardhouse

Not really contest information , but maybe a new flyer to compete at the contest. Sarah Davis, My daughter helper her friend Dustin solo last Sunday ,  at our Home flying circle  . A former r/c flyer with moderate stick  time ,said that he liked the way you could " Fly " the model verses the way the R/C planes feel .
