Title: Huntersville looks cool and Rainy
Post by: Tom Perry on October 22, 2006, 12:57:39 PM
I checked the weather report for Huntersville and it looks to be cool and rainy all day.  I hope they are able to get in some flights between rain drops.

Waiting for some results.

It WAS cool and rainy, but we flew anyway. #^  Not as many showed up due to the weather, but it really wasn't that bad.

We had a light rain for the first round, but it stopped for the second round. Almost no wind. The air was a little heavy and many of us had wake turbulence issues.

All in all, it was a great event and most of us will be back next June.  ~>

Take care,

Ron

Hi Ron,

Well *some* of us flew anyway, but I wasn't one of them!  #^

I did have a great time on Friday and Saturday, though.  y1

Will get the engine out to you ASAP.  I also did not come up with a *winner* for the Argus kit.......... yet.......

Bill,

Thanks. Stupid me, I didn't catch on to what you were doing.

My vote for the kit would go to Alan Buck. He is devoted to our hobby and trying very hard. He didn't total anything, but suffered "premature" landings in both the Profile and Intermediate events.

I'll call Kirk today for you,

Ron

Ron,
Thanks for the nice words and the vote of confidence!  Had a great time with you, Big Bear and all the metro liner guys and contestants.  Also enjoyed helping the other flyers and the beginners!

Thanks,
Alan

Alan,

I hope you can get a plane repaired in time for Saturday. If not, let me know and I'll bring one for you.

Hi Alan,

It's always great to *see* you at the contests!  I am really glad that you have progressed so much since the very first time when you were a "spectator"!  It is always fun when we all get together.  y1

Have fun and don't go driving anymore trucks off of mountains!!!!!!!!!!
