I’ve reserved a non smoking room, 2 double beds, checking in Friday and out Sunday. I would prefer not to pay the entire $194.
Anybody want to go halfs?
I tend to go to bed early, so this won’t be the party room.

Fast Combat has been moved to Friday afternoon. 1:00*?. After we get the field marked.
Please let me know if you will be flying combat and which events.
This helps with getting all the flying and registration forms printed

Sam will fly speed limit. Colombo and I will fly fast, 1/2A and speed limit.

Talked with the chamber of commerce for both Huntersville $ Lake Norman.
There are NO RV parks in the immediate area. Statesville is a BAD choice as the I75 Traffic can back up at any time.
Found two places on goggle which seemed to have decent review's.

Yep, I camped in Statesville last spring. The drive in was less than fun.
After further consideration, I changed my reservation to start on Friday, still checking out Sunday. I figure I’ll get up early and get there in time for a practice flight, then get a good night’s sleep for Saturday.
Still open to a quiet, well behaved roommate to split the cost ($194) with. PM me if you want in.

Contest prep is going on schedule , the site looks great, last year's remodel of the site is looking better with extra grass repairs . A few reminders for new attendees ,
We have a 12 volt charging station on site , close to the shelter and close to circles. No 110 so bring 12 volt chargers
2 paved circles, 1 grass circle , 3 additional circles carrier, combat and practice circle
No parking at shelter except 6 handicap spot s , unload car and park in parking lot , see picture
No open flames at site, ( landfill issue )
We have a local Italian Pizza and Deli provide hoagie sandwiches for lunch on Saturday , Wendy's , Hardee's and other restaurants are 2 miles from field , but people really enjoy Mama's Deli
We are usually done by 2pm on Sunday to get you on the road home ASAP
Real NC wood trophies with 4x6 group photos first thru third place in all stunt and carrier events
We have site reserved for Friday, Sat and Sunday
If you arrive at the site early and the gate is locked call me I can get you in ( 7048601079)

Friday agenda :
Open practice On all circles from daylight 7:00 am until 4 pm ,
Judges clinic starts at 4 pm. Dave Wenzel is running Judges Clinic ,, we will fly full AMA pattern with coaching and judging debrief
Combat starts at 4 pm. Howard Shenton is the Event Director for combat. 1/2 a and Fast Combat are friday
Open practice for all circles not used for scheduled events

Busy day all day Friday, lots of practice on all circles, great weather , good day at the field, combat put on a great show , Dave Wenzel did another informative Judges Clinic for all that attended ,
tomorrow is full day with speed limit combat, carrier , basic flight , OTS , profile stunt and N-30 , then off to the local restaurants , then to the Pool party and Ice Cream social ,

Started flying at 10 am , light rain at beginning of day , cleared off after a few flights , good weather after that' sun out then in to stunt heaven , light mist of rain off and on at lunch break with Mama's deli delivered Italian subs, chips and snacks ,
Second round after lunch, combat and carrier finished up, left the field at 7 with many still flying , what a day , Nice October weather ,
Congrats to all contestants
PA skill classes on Sunday 4 circles busy , a few special awards , Ringo perpetual troph to advanced winner, Carolina Spirit Award, Masters Circle Award , then we head home to recover from a fun weekend

Congratulations to all contestants , We had fun contest with a nice cool day early on Sunday, sunny weather that warmed up nice if you were out in the sun ,
We had shifting stiff wind in the first round with very nice wind in the second round, slot like Friday , the later in the day it got , the better the weather,
A big caravan of modelers left the field at 1: 30 to head to Watt Moore's home and flying field for a cookout and more flying .

Thank you Will I appreciate everything. I had a bunch of fun. On the way home I used the rest of the batteries to practice. I took advantage of nice weather home and instead of draining batteries on the ground I decided to do it in the air. What is the most important thing I took with me from this event is to practice more.
