Title: Huntersville contest May 3.4 and 5
Post by: Will Davis on May 03, 2019, 05:10:11 PM
May 3 .. The field was busy staring around 11 am, combat guys and stunt flyers started rolling in early

Present early, Tom Weedman, Max flow, Alan Buck, Don Ogren an his wife, Carl and Mike  Lindler, Tom Dixon, Tom Luper, Terry Mcdowell, Larry Draughn, Don Stoneman, Mike and Sam Londke, Howard Shenton, Paul Kobe, Dave Courtney, , Gene Martine , John And Diane Tate , john Rakes,  Bob Zambelli, Ray Copeland  and many  others that I missed as I was leaving

Sam Londke worked hard on his  flying, he has the full Pattern down with his dad and coach Mike Londke. To say we are proud of his accomplishments  would be a understatement. I have not seen a junior more enthusiastic about model airplanes In many years,

Max Flow has a new Cardinal that he has been working on the trim for, with help from several people today , Max has the Cardinal really  are working good, every flight , we would take it back to the shelter to fix or modify something , Alan Buck, John  Rakes and John Tate fixed  and modified  many small things on his model.  He is ready for Int now ,  it is electric with Maxx 900 kv motor, hubin timer castle esc and 3200 battery .

Tom Dixon had his store open with a few of his new kits that included a s1 ringmaster , a new Dagger design based on the time Machine with stiletto cosmetics , very  nice models that have a lot of the work already done for a quick build,

Tom also put in several good flights with a mustang stunter

Bob Zambelli was present with his yellow Ferarri and his OTS  models ,

1/2 A combat and  fast combat was just getting started when I left the field,  I will give report when Howard sends to Me,

Sat is OTS, profile ,N30 , basic, carrier and combat , then off to the fish  camp for dinner and Ice cream in the hotel  , then  the ever famous Huntersville Pool Partt ,

The weather on Sunday made for some interesting flying but nothing that was too bad. My favorite part was the evening before that at the Hotel with a small show and tell.
Congratulation to Mark on the win. Next time, maybe next time we meet I will give a run for your money.  :)
