David was definitely there.  Not sure as to why he was not entered.

I see Circle 1 and Circle 2.  Did you have one circle that counted and one that didn't?

Ya know Howard, down her in the suth we aint got no specalized computers ta do all our score addin. We musta got those score sheets from some ol' yank er somthin.

But to answer your question...no, all the events run on their own circles. That is just a typo on the score sheet.

I was there. I wasn't planning in flying because last contest we had trouble getting all the flights in but this time was much better. I did fly. I flew Sarah's biplane in profile and would of had a pretty good high if I could have gone in a straight line. She actually recorded the flight so I will see if we can get it posted on YouTube. I flew my skyray in class 1 with a good low but didnt get a landing. I think I finished 4th in both profile and class 1. I will try to post something in the carrier section here in the next couple days.

Steve,

Thanks for posting the scores,  4 days at the flying site and contest has me playing catch up at home and work, all stunt flights  for each  class were on the same circle , high score wins, never noticed the sheets before might be new generic sheets made by Watt Moore ,

Hey everyone this is SARAH I'm just hacking David's profile for a second to let everyone know that David did fly he's just too good of a teacher and I beat him twice! Hehe I just wanted to be able to state my side of all this and I told him to get use to my winning ;) lol not really ....but us girls ( Jo shoemaker and myself) really gave the boys a run for their money! It was great seeing everyone!

I wondered why our Brian Moore keeps turning up at east coast contests.  I see from the PAMPA roster that there are two Brian Moores.

We have some serious travelers at Huntersville.  I think Brad LaPointe comes down from Canada?  The local Brian Moore hails from North Carolina.  Plus the whole contingent from Philly comes down.

Speaking of travelers, where does the Beginner stunt entry Don Jenkins come from?  I believe he was the guy with the orange Smoothie?

The Fall Meet at Huntersville has always drawn people from all over the East Coast, South, and sometimes Mid-West.  Generally, the weather has always been very good for flying model airplanes.

I hope to be able to join in the fun again in the near future.

I have been coaching Don  for six months and teaching him all about trimming. He and Alex Given and myself fly at Huntersville weekly.
Don lives about 45 minutes from the field as I do. Do is retired Navy Comander  with 32 years in. He has been bugging me  all week to go flying but I had car problems. It has been perfect weather Sunny,60 degrees and 3-4 MPH wind. Now I need to talk him into going to the KOI.

Of all the contests that I attended this year, Huntersville has the been the number one topic of many of  my friends up north . Since I've retired from my day job I do manage to go to more events than in the past . I could not recommend the Huntersville contest enough . The drive through the mountains this fall with the leaves in full colour was spectacular .

The main reason for going to Huntersville in the first place was from meeting a lot of the folks involved at the Brodak's event . Howard Shenton was quite instrumental in that regard . Thank's Howard!  Will and David (and everyone else) treated Nancy and I like family . It doesn't hurt that I'm a NASCAR fan visting here also. Great people , great event .

The biggest question I have , when are the dates for next year ?

Thank you ,
Brad LaPointe

Ahh Bill. I had no idea. Sure would have been nice to say hello. I got there Friday at 6. When not flying I was occupied by folks buying me pizza. Or I was trying to put some distance between myself and Dan Banjok's deafeningly loud new toy. Then there was the Watt Moore and family experience. Fabulous to enter Shangri la. With control line, wine and BBQ, great company, and a very tame horse that let me ride without bucking me off. A smart animal, so it seemed to me, that looked me in the eye and sized me up as a dumb city boy who weighed a lot.

So true about flying alone, especially when someone you really like is not there anymore.   If it wasn't for the 70+ mile drive one way I would be out flying more  often.

Hi Doc,

I would probably get to fly a lot more if there WAS a site only 70 miles away............. ;D

Hi Bill

Are you really serious about this? If so - why don't you come to fly with me here in Hartsville?? I have the manager's permission to fly at the city's Park/Recreation Area/Sports Complex any time I want. Between the grass and paved asphalt areas, there is room for at least 20 circles if not more. I will treat you real well if you decide to come:)
