Title: Hunt Invasion
Post by: Howard Rush on October 15, 2012, 01:53:34 PM
Two Hunts have recently moved to the Seattle area to be closer to the epicenter of stunt.  Shown below are Bruce Hunt (left) and Robby Hunt (right), holding a picture of my great-grandfather Hunt and my grandmother.  None are related except Grandpa Hunt and my grandmother.

Is this the same Robby Hunt that is Bob Hunts son! The same Robby Hunt that had that Bill Werwage type stunt ship? If it is:

Man oh,man I am getting old. LL~

Welcome to Seattle Robby.  Look forward to seeing you again!  Make sure you have a passport and/or a NEXUS card, and come visit us in Vancouver!

Don't forget about the hunt in your plane!  :)

I do believe that Robby really had a great future in CLPA before he hurt his wrist.  I feel he got a bit "robbed" at the WC's when he flew for the Jr. Championship.

Robby is a great guy and I wish him well in Seattle.

So, I am walking home from class last night, and find there is a text from Aaron Little asking me about hanging out with Howard Rush.  I couldn't figure out how he knew that until I was on the phone a few minutes ago with my dad, who mentioned the picture on here with "Uncle Bruce".  A big thanks to Howard for picking me up that day to head down to Auburn for the fun fly.  It was great to be at the field, and to meet up with old friends and new friends alike.

@proparc: Yeah, that seems like forever ago to me as well...

@Chris: Thank you! It's great to FINALLY be out here!  I look forward to seeing you as well, and will def. have to look into the passport! :)

@Bill: Haha, thanks for the support, as always...however, I feel my China performance had as much to do with my 4.7 lap times, and that less then brilliant moment when I thought I could move my horizontal eights intersection just a little bit to the right to avoid the sun as it did with my wrist. Bad move...I didn't live up to the stars on my back that day (sorry Les...)

In any case, it's great to be out here, and I look forward to flying with everyone in the future.

Robby

I was awfully happy to meet Robby at the fun fly. He seems a good guy and a great addition to the Northwest stunt scene.

Welcome aboard Robby,  long time no see. Tri Cities 1995 was the last time I remember you.

That lad has grown since he helped me at the NATS one year.  Good to hear you are flying.

HI Robster,

Are you flying now? (You need to be! ;D )

BTW: You still haven't visited the "Dewberry Capital of the World" yet!  LL~ LL~

@ Dad: Yeah, it looks pretty good there...when it was still new!  It is old enough to be on of earliest lost foam wings...in fact it has a d-tube spar, long before the switch to c-tubes, and before we figured out the trick with pinning the ribs back onto the foam to sand...

@Randy: Same here my man!  After months of talking on the computer, it was good to finally meet in person.  I look forward to actually flying with everyone in the future!

@John: Thanks, and indeed, a long time ago....in fact my last competition flights were flown there.  I tried to fly at Cleveland later that year, and by then my elbow/wrist was in far too much pain, and that was that...

@Doc: Hi Doc, good to hear from you!  It has certainly been a while...I have flown sparingly over the years since then, but hope to make it more frequent in the future...

@Bill: Right now, I'm at school!  However, I would love to fly again in the near future.  As for the visit to the dewberry capital, that might take a bit longer, given my relocation to the opposite coast!  I do however keep in regular contact with Aaron, so I'm always abreast of the dewberry happenings...and lest I forget the picture he sent me to hold me over until said visit can occur...

@ Peter: Thanks for the offer!  I don't any trick planes (royalties forthcoming to Howard) with me, but hopefully I will take you up on that in the future...
