Here is a Hughes H-1 Racer that was scratchbuilt starting out with a Sig Shoestring wing, stab and elevator. Everything else came from the scrap pile and spare parts stash. Dimensionally, I just shortened the Shoestring nose moment 1 1/4" and left the rest alone. From the very first flight I was extremely happy with how well it will do nice wheeled takeoffs and landings, even in well trimmed grass. It's no stunter, but it tracks dead straight and just hums along nicely, just "Plane" fun. Power is an AP .15 with Master Airscrew 8X4 prop and I fly it on .012x52' lines...
