Cheers. I do like your designs, thanks for making them available.

Zone 46 in particular, it's a good size and great looking. On the very long "to do" list.

I do believe there is a Zone 2 flying or was flying here in NZ too.

Brad, was that before or after the T-Rex?  There are similarities.

That's the one Brad built. It ended up with Joe Gilbert.

Very nice classic lines Brad.  Seems like it should be good in every way!

The Jekyll and Hyde are more closely related an Impact.

I believe the Trex to be the best flying,  easiest to time design I ever made...

Adrian Hamilton, aka "ash". There are photos of his Zone 2 from 2011-2012, at least, in his Picasa gallery: https://picasaweb.google.com/103182165643328072320
I built a Blue Pants as a kid. Wish I still had it. Might even learn to fly it.

Is the T-rex one of the airplanes included from Brodak's new ARF manufacturer? The design looked good but it seemed like they couldn't successfully build it at the old supplier. It would likely be the best of the ARFs, and certainly the best conventionally-sized ARF/ARC.

Yes.   John said the new company is making an even better version.

There's certainly a steep learning curve trying to get them to build something the way it needs to be, it seems.

I think he found out the hard way on the engines, too.

Well.

I could list the problems,  but the vendors are not the issue.  I worked my ass off trying to make a good product.

I watched Joe Gilbert fly his T rex last year at the round up. That's a BIG good looking airplane. Absolutely on the "need to build" list.

Right. I know it's a ton of work.
The only problems I saw seemed traceable to workmanship, not to the design or engineering.

That's my Trex.  I built it.   I sold it to him when I got divorced and had to move.

This is the 600 square inch version.   It was going to be the killer.

Thanks.   I think if a man got an arc and went over it real well with CA and the normal treatments,  you could have a viable stunt plane suitable for the highest levels.

Here's a secret.   Os max makes aluminum motor mounts.   The one for the os 52*fs fits a PA or os vf.

I'd like to build a T Rex but I don't want an ARF or ARC. I did print the plans for J&H

I believe this is the same plane? It exploded in flight, Memphis Stunt Classic, 2008. One of the most impressive "mishaps" of aerial display I've seen to date. I believe that Joe Gilbert can elaborate further.  :o

Hi Brad...no malevolent intent here...I was curious if it was the same ship. Sorry for its demise, but to reiterate; "it was an impressive end to an impressive plane, with an impressive pilot on the handle." No ill intentions intended. BTW, he damn near made a successful landing with it.  H^^
