Photos of Jim Kostecky's Talon Classic Stunter.
« on: May 31, 2014, 11:47:34 PM »
I've been trying to send some photos of Jim Kostecky's Talon Stunter to Juan Valentin, for over a week now by e-mail.  I have several photos from Jim Hoffman that I tried to forward to him but alas he didn't get the e-mail.  I tried several more times to send them, even reduced the number of files (they are not really very large files.) and send them in separate e-mails...no luck He didn't get them.  I finally sent him an e-mail with no files in it and He didn't recieve it.  I've asked him to check his spam settings thinking that may be rejecting my e-mails...Don't know!

Anyway, I decided to just post the photos here on Stunt Hanger.  Besides all can enjoy them that way.  The first and last photos are Joe Dill holding his Talon that He built several years ago for Classic and the others (yellow) were built many, many years ago by someone else ( I think a cohort of Kostecky's sometime about the same time frame as Kostecky's, Jim wasn't sure either).

Just a small correction, the yellow Talon was built by Jim Kostecky almost 50 years ago.  It is now owned by Greg Zajack who used to build & fly with Jim.  Greg sent me pix awhile back that I posted in the Classic forum.  Juan, I see you have found that post also.

The Talon with Jim's paint scheme has been in my opinion a beautiful model!  Jim was an artist and art teacher.

 Hello Dennis
I have seen all the pictures posted in the forum but would like to see a picture of the bottom and engine air intake of the original built by Kostecky. On the bottom it seems that there is a groove between the intakes. I looked at the pictures in Flying models Dec 66 and think that the shape is different from other model I have seen. Here are some pictures from The FM dec 66 issue. The air intake for the engine on the model is different from the one shown on the plans also.
