Close, real close to the truth.

The last time Howard had a new model he asked that I come to the field. We talked for a bit, Howard flew a few times.

"So, when do you leave for the Nationals?"

"Tomorrow morning."

That wasn't the scary part. It was the way he said it, as if it were the most natural thing to do.

New model...check.

Biggest contest of the year coming up...check.

Driving from Seattle area to Indiana...check.

Need to put some flights on this dog...check.

Practice, why practice?...check.

Leaving tomorrow morning...check.

What could possibly go wrong?...check.

Butt-load of optimism...check.

C'mon Marilou! Let's ride!

R U going to the WCSC? It's in August this year, which I haven't quite gotten my head around yet. I guess it conflicted with the Oskosh Fly-In? We got no NW contests in July! Why not???  HB~> Steve

John reminds me of the time Carl Reiner was asking George Burns about George's sex life when he was at a pretty advanced age.

"Carl, you ever try to put an oyster in a slot machine?"

Depends what country you come from. That is the correct spelling for English English (As opposed to American English).

Same occurs throughout the dictionary, we spell as Analyse (Analyze), Colour (Color), acclimatise (acclimatize), Centre (Center).

The list goes on and on.

In the case of Authorise (z) it actually came from the French Autoriser (With an "s") but the French changed it because that comes from the Medieval Latin "Auctorizare" (With a "z"). OK, End of lesson.  ;)

So it's all actually France's Fault.  LL~

Its when you see Howards models up close you realise why he always scores high in AP.

Nothing to do with JCT political views -

Simply - He does amazing craftsmanship.

Well done Howard, this is the first time I've seen details photos' looks amazing once again.

Howard came up with some good advice for the both of us. He said we should spend less time writing cute little poems about how awesome are planes are and spend a little more time flying them before we get to Muncie. I have to say.....I agree.  HB~>

How about a little info on your set up?  Thanks.

I listed it on the Electric forum setup list.  It's copied from Paul Walker's, but I'm behind on motors.

I do like the LEDs.

Those are to keep track of whether I have changed the battery and whether I've removed it from the airplane.

Yea, that's a dog of a plane for sure..   y1
Hey Howard:  How did you do that fade out graphic on the wing tips ?

The stripes on the wing are paint.  The hexagonal peterout is a decal printed from TurboCad.  It's either Bel or Micro-Mark paper printed with a laser printer.  Matching the paint took several tries.

Is this the one that got splattered at the NATS? I need to check my handle.

I mentioned something about splattering one because of a handle cable, but I wasn't clear about when.  I did that several years ago.  This plane remains unsplattered as of this post.
