With so many more fliers this year running electric at the Nationals
Will there be another blanket ban on the use of the on field power sockets for charging?

There wasn't a blanket ban last year.

Well my recollection is somewhat different :
At the pilots briefing " Charging of batteries for electric batteries will not be allowed at any of the power sites at the AMA Site "
(Strong words to that effect in anycase..
)
I remember because I thought to myself at the time it seemed inconvenient, and slightly unfair.
Bob Hunt raised the Question at that briefing : No doubt it will be raised again this year.
Lets hope common sense prevails - I think every flyer knows what it fair and every one I've met would give anything to help a fellow flier. I think any possible "hogging" of outlets would simply not occur. If John Doe in Advanced needed to charge for a few quick flights I'm sure it would work itself out.
FYI : No hidden motive here beyond discussion of things that might occur.

After talking to the AMA, we were allowed to use the pavillion outlets.

Ok - thats great.
Good news for everyone flying electric - and good luck.
I'm backing this to be the first year Electric wins the Nats.

It's goona be a close one! Let's see Paul won the NATS with a muffled, piped, 4-stroke engine, and maybe soon to be an electric. Not bad!
Good luck to all.
