Since the replies on the other thread indicate people would want Rear exhaust, I am asking about these on this thread
Thank you for your input

Hi Randy,
At least 2 for me, maybe 3.
Would these be in the original size 65 case, or the 75 case?
Thanks;
Larry Fruits

Certainly at least 1. I currently have three!

Two for me.

Would the case be the same size as the 61 RE?
Projected price?
Thanks!
-
Will these be AAC
I think the PA65 has always been AAC in the past. All three of mine, obtained over a period of 15 years or so, are AAC.

I think He said before that they would be Merlin cases which are different and a little larger in some places.
Better in most respects!

Hi Scott
If I do a run of RE and SE then yes they would use the Old original cases, If I do only 65s It maybe possible that the NEW Merlin case would be used, NOT decided yet, as I need to see what the demand for these are

The 65SE is one of the most devastating stunt engines I have ever seen!! Without question, one of THEE all time greats.

Randy Do have an idea of the price ? and what would the price be with a header and pipe?
-
Randy,
I will take one.

Randy I'm not familiar with this engine, but have a few questions as I may want one for my new SV11. Is this a long stroke engine? What is the weight of the engine less muffler/pipe? How does the mounting pattern compare to a ST 60? What are the fuel requirements? Lastly what type of prop size and pitch does it like? Thanks Much.

Hi Skip
The PA line of engines have been around all over the world since the mid 1990s , Many 100s of people have used them, the are about 11.3 ounces exhaust depends on versions, mount size can be varied but is close to the OS SF 46 VF 46, they run a wide 13 inch 2 blade or 12 to 13,5 inch 3 blade 4 to 4.7 pitch
I will give you more info as soon as it is decided if they will be made and what will be made

Hi Randy , what is the difference between the Merlin case and the old case?
Hi Terry
The rear Merlin case was a NEW design we did just for the Control line stunt engines, the Older Rear case was from an unmachined casting I used from henry Nelson's Q 40 rear ex motor, machined to my specs with different exhaust and bore sizes
Randy
This is one size of the Merlin case
-
Thank you Randy, I like what your doing with your engines.
-
I may have to try one just to say I did, how much are they Randy?

Hi Larry There are 3 there,
1- Standard NVA
1-L NVA used for rear mount needle
1- same side NVA, the fuel pickup and needle are on the same side, these are great for side ex to get away from the muffler, also they are hi flow

My brother and I are in for 2 and probably 3.
Thx

I would be interested in one 65SE if they bolt up to ST 60 mounts Randy.
-
Hey Coach, I will take a .65 RE
Thanks Randy

Will there be a new production run of RE 65s coming anytime soon? Or would it be more prudent to start looking around for a used one instead?
-
I want one if this thread is still viable PA 65 RE

Hi Mike
I wanted to run a 65 RE and SE run, that turns out not to be a go, So I will look at running more 75s and 65s RE only, the 65 will be a Merlin 65 based on the 75 case, This will make for an even better on more stable 65, This will be necessary because of the expense of the Foundry that does castings. I will get back to this project soon, Right now I am redoing and putting the SV laser cut kits back in stock, and making NEW airplanes into laser cut kits, plus I am developing new products and concentrating on getting Cf PIPES back in stock, I have stock on most of them now, except for the 75 pipes I am filling the back order quickly now and look to get them back in stock in the coming weeks
If I started the new engine run NOW it would be at least 6 months before I got parts in, then time to build all the engines, so the answer to your question is if you need one quick, you would try to find a person that had them for sale
