How long does it take you to get ready?
« on: June 28, 2009, 02:29:50 PM »
Every year it seems that getting ready for the NATS takes longer.

I have been getting packed and ready sense Friday. First it was a oil change in the car. Then to packing of the tools and gathering up camera equipment. Running down toiletries. I have 5 days left to fix all the dings. Monday its to the screen printers for Teeshirts. Wash the car and vacuum it out. I need to remake a plane carrier. Glad I started early!

Sparky,

We are coming up Saturday, I'm going to fly classic and we are planning for Ben to fly basic/biginner.  Lucky for me Beth keeps us organized (for 17 years now as of yesterday), otherwise I'd probably show up without a battery and only one pair of underware #^ ~> <=.

See ya there.

I'm sorta in the same boat.  I have no wheel pants.  I was gonna take three pairs, but I couldn't get the paint to stick to them.

As long as the NATS continue to be held in the middle of the hottest months of the year, I'll never get to go. You just can't up and leave an A/C business for a week or two in the middle of Summer. Sucks!

Hey Clint, I did it for many years while I was working for the telephone company.  It was not a good NATS if my nose didn't peel at least three times.  You should at least go one time.

By the way, if you made it thru VSC you can make thru the NATS.   Have fun,  DOC Holliday

They are certainly not going to hold the NATS in the winter. You could do that in Miami, not in Muncie.

This thread is starting to alarm me.  I was thinking I would throw the planes and flight box in the car, along with some extra clothes...

Before going to Brodak, grandpa checked the tire pressure, changed the oil, put the clothes rack on the roof, and put Z-Max in the fuel and engine.  Too bad I'm not heading to Muncie this year, looks like it will be in two years when I'm able to drive

This may not be a problem for some of you, but for people who live as far away from Muncie as I do, you gotta remember to stop along the way to refuel.

Well, Howard, that Prius will just run on the battery if you run out of dinosaur based fuel...won't it??  Uh, never mind.

OH NO WES

Man I hate to see that, I really don't have words for that sickening feeling one gets when they see their favorite ship rekitted
