  Please, please, please, avoid the use of the word "tethered" because "tethered drones" are specifically called out in some regulation as subject to drone laws. They mean quadcopter-like objects that work with a trailing wire instead of radio, and are clearly and correctly called a "UAS". CL is "not a UAS", but if you say "tethered" they will quickly remember that those are subject to regulation and shut you down anyway.

If it's anything like Canada, good luck, a licence is required, a registration number and log book for every plane over 250grams , there things fields are required to do as well, NOTAMS and others I'm not sure about, the only thing that gives us hope is that Transport Canada doesn't have enough agents to be bothered traveling to every RC field...lol

I looked it up-actually the next reauthorize vote is three years out.   I would expect quite a lot may happen to sway the bill further toward corporate interests and away from recreational use of the airspace.   It renews every five years.   I'm going to be paying more attention to what is happening at the local level in my area as far as regulations to restrict model/drone flying.   I won't go quietly if they do.......
