Is it any faster?
« on: July 23, 2013, 11:53:44 AM »
We are migrating now and I want to know if its getting faster? We didn't have enough to do this so I covered the rest of the expenses. So please help me re coupe.

As soon as I figure out the new system we can host video's like youtube and a whole lot more neat stuff Like support tickets and live chat. This is a big step and should take us way into the future.
With the Quad core, 3.3 GHz Intel® Xeon Processor
8 MB cache
16 GB RAM
2 x 1000 GB HDD
15 TB/month
Free Domain Name
5 Dedicated IPs
CentOS 6.4 (64-bit)
Virtualization: KVM

If you looking to host a model airplane website and need a web master we can host it here!

It should be complete in about 4 hours so they say. I will come back and make sure our box and file counts have moved. So complicated in the way they explain things. It seems they try to make it that way so you have to pay them to do it instead of explaining it in plane English so you can do it yourself.

It's noticeably faster now. Last night I posted an embedded Youtube video and it was so jerky, I had to post a note to watch it on the Tube instead of here. But today it runs as smooth as glass. Thanks Robert. My payday is coming Friday, and Stunthangar is on my list of payments to make.

Thank you and it will get faster as soon as it gets fully migrated. I am loading a support system now and using a lot of resources. So it may seem faster and it is but it will be smoken fast tomorrow when all is done.. Ton of trial and error cause I don't know exactly what I am doing. Best way to learn.

Not faster for me. I just clicked on a post and got to watch the swirling arrow for what seemed like a long time. We will see tomorrow.  ;D

It didn't compile pspell with PHP on the VPS and/or didn't compile the aspell dictionaries along with our preferred languages. I am working on the directories. May take a bit.

It slowed way down while I was gettin' chow, and since, I've gotten two "stack overflow" messages. I have no clue what that means, but I think it means the server is overloaded with hits...odd, with the new scheme. Or, maybe Howard is home and writing more JCT poems?  :-\ Steve

Sorry to say, it was fast as normal when you first posted this, but later this afternoon, it slowed down drastically and now it is very slow. Mostly it's stalling when first trying to load the page, after it connects, it's respectable.

Much better than yesterday, can't tell if it is faster than before.

What do you mean about spell check?  I already have spelling checking, it's built into the browser.
