My wife and I are going to Cincinnati for the weekend and was wondering if there are any good hobby shops to visit if we have time?

If you are looking for C/L stuff it's minimal. For best prices on stuff it is Hobby Express on Wards Corner road about 1/4 mile south of the the I 275 interchange. Hamilton Hobbies, on Route 129 on the west side of Hamilton, Ohio is as well stocked as any. There is a new shop on the west side near Ronald Reagan Hwy and I 275. I have not been there yet. We have a nice flying site across the street from the terminal at Lunken airport, but I can about guarantee nobody will be there flying. A few of us fly there Monday evenings.

Lunkin Field, I remember flying a contest there years ago while attending phone school in Columbus, Ohio. Was flying the Ambroid Stuka. Won Intermediate by 5 points. I thought it was a neat site. Going home was scary as if you left any kind of opening in between you and the car in front someone would cut in. Speed limit was supposed to be 55 then, but, My speedometer showed we were at least 75. John, another student that was with me said, "Don't worry, as he hoped I had good insurance". Even back then a good hobby shop was hard to find in Columbus. DOC Holliday

That's a combination of offensive/defensive driving...we use it in NY. Offensive in that you give a signal at the last second so the other person can't close the gap and cut you off, and Defensive in that you watch out for other folks doing that to you. ;D H^^
