Okay, so now you got me intrigued!  I did a Google search for Mini King model airplane and all it turned up were RC ARF crap.  I checked Outerzone and found nothing there.  Not much from a search here.  Who designed it?

I've attached a picture of the planes entered at Brodaks last year, which one is yours?

That'd be neat but I don't think it's legal. It all adds up to more that .061 which is the limit for the event.

True.  But I'd love to see Brad fly that thing.  How about we let him enter it and then after he flies it , declare it illegal?  ;D

Chris flew a great pattern. I thought Chris had one of the best performing 1/2A models there at Brodaks.

She flew pretty good right off the bat,  the engine run was the tough thing to figure out.  Thanks John.

Didn't realize it was a BMJR kit.  Thanks for identifying it.

Are you also thinking about stretching the moment arm to the tail?  That might be a way to gain a little more stability as all of these half-As seem to fly a bit "jinky" (compared to our "big-uns").

it is almost tail heavy as it is.   I would like to sharpen up the squares up a bit

IMHO, the easiest and best way to reduce 1/2A models twitchiness is to put a "full-size" bellcrank and matching horns in it from the get-go.

Control surface deflections will feel more natural; they'll be much more like what we learned on, presuming you learned on more usual size models.

Closing down the handle line spacing can get to the point it is hard to manage, and comfortable width spacing may make just too much input unless we practically lock our hand rigid. Simpler: 3" bell crank and matching horns... Shouldn't take too much fiddling inside the structure..

Try it - you'll like it.. (whose slogan did that used to be..?).
