Post by: mike londke on July 11, 2017, 10:15:56 PM
Any decent ones in or near Muncie?  How about Indy?

There was a hobby shop in center of Muncie last year. It sold basic stuff. CA some wood, music wire. A few CL kits. Old ones. Left over from the inventory of the comprehensive Hobby Shop that closed. It was across the road from the AMA complex.

Don't waste your time looking for C/l stuff in Indy. We have 2 Hobbytowns(Drone) USA and a small shop that is slowly phasing out everything but cars and drones.
Is Sam flying beginner? I'll be there Sunday to help my club mates.
Later

Looking for props and fuel line and plugs nothing else. Sam will be flying beginner, he doesn't have all the maneuvers down but he will do what he can.

Tom Morris is usually there selling all kinds of things, lines included. Tom Dixon has been there in the past selling fuel, and other things. I think the hobby shop in town also carries fuel.

The only maneuver you need is a climb & dive that's steep enough to count as a wingover, to make your flight official.  I suspect the kid will do well enough.

MBS is usually set up at NATs. They carry props. Tubing. Combat stuff that will work. Might even have plugs. Folks will have extra fuel. Including me. You're welcome to it.

Thanks Dennis I have plenty of fuel, it sounds like I'll be able to get what I need at Toys Forever.

Tom Dixon said he was bringing fuel. Come to think of it. Ask for Philly Flyers. We'll help you out. What plane what engine?

Rich's brew should have fuel as well.  Not sure where toy find him, but most likely at the pylon races. His son flew combat last year though as well.
