It's been a long time since I last posted, and yes a whole bunch has changed in my life. Back in December of last year I was handed my walking papers after 40+ years, I won't lie it was painful at first. BUT after a few weeks I made the decision that if it was at all possible now was the time to retire. Along the way I met the love of my life and I am getting ready to get married, Uncle Mikey you were right man you were right. After a year and a half my house finally sold and I actually made a few buck.
So that takes me up to date, Larry Renger and I are back flying and I have even started judging. I still don't have a place to build, but I have several planes in flying condition and I just received a Hanger-9 PT-19. It's more for my son than me, we haven't flown together since he dumped my Stuka Stunt. I know he felt bad but I miss him at the field, so I got the PT-19 and will invite out to fly.
Since I last posted I took the Humongous and stripped the covering off and recovered it with Lite Span. I took 8Oz's. out of the plane just by recovering it. Big Red finally has the engine issues resolved, so I can't blame the plane anymore for the quality of my flying. Like the guy said the way to Broadway is practice, practice, practice. Hopefully in just a few weeks I will have a building area set up and I can start through the stack of kits I have.
Anyway things are look good and it's great to be back.
