Title: Hi from Sydney Aus
Post by: Warren Leadbeatter on July 25, 2006, 05:17:54 AM
Hi All,

I am new here.  I didn't see any Aussies in the World Champs F2B finalists list posted by Randy but I know there were a few who went.  Oh well we'll have to try to do something about that. lol

About us, myself, Wazza (43) and my two daughters Kayla (12) and Amy (10) are getting into Control line and we thought we would share a pic of our current models.  Most are Brodak 1/2A kits and our favourites are the Baby Clown and Baby Flite Streak as both fly exceptionally well. The Baby Flite Streak runs a Cox Medallion 049 and does well over 60 mph with a 6x4 prop and will do just about anything you ask of it.

Kayla can fly her Baby clown from take off to landing and is starting to do wingovers. Amy is still on the Cox PT19 as she still hasn't been able to go for a full tank without crashing but she is getting there.  Myself, I'm a bit of a show pony and am trying to learn the stunt pattern and have had some spectacular crashes recently. The kids keep saying "dad you can fly my plane as long as you don't break it"

Also pictured is my Jnr Flight Streak which I have had for about 10 years running a TT 15 and goes like the clappers on pressure with a 7x4 taipan prop.

We are currently working on a Brodak Vector 40 which will have a brand new OS Max 40 supplied by SSHobbies and will be finished soon. We also have a 1/2A Pathfinder almost ready to go. We should be able to do some good sport stunting then!

After that we are going to build some multi-wing models. A couple of those Black Hawk Models, Pitts Special & Fokker DR1 which I would like to have a mini combat with and I'll probably build a 38 Special for my Hot OS LA46.

We hope you like our pics and if you want to see more there are some in the Gallery at www.SSHobbies.com

Regards,

Hi All,

Perhaps I have missed something, what are these Karma points all about?  Whatever they are thanks!

By the way here's a pic of my Vector 40 which is nearing completion...

Also, if anyone is interested, I also modify and race Honda CT110 motorcycles (called Postie Bikes here becaue the Posties ride them to deliver the mail). Checkout my website at http://www.postiebikes.com

We also have a family web page at http://www.users.tpg.com.au/adslfk4u/family.html

Cheers,
Warren

over on the right of your post you will find kharma points underneath there are two options  applaud-smite.  applaud means you're doing good--smite means the opposite. do not take them too seriously because they only reflect personal opinion.

APPLAUD **)                                             SMITE :X
