Well I finally got this wifi system in the nursing home to stay connected when trying to get online and get on the forum.
The food stinks, facility smells, scheduled care is off by at least 30-40 min. each time and my Dr. said he wants
me to stay for another 3-4 weeks but I told him that will not work for me. I explained to him between the medical costs and my
wife having to travel 70-80 miles a day to see me I just need to get home, so we agreed on a minimum of another week. Somehow
I think he's snowing me on that.
Anyhow... the Cellulitis is not gone yet and I am still in a lot of pain the good news is swelling has gone down some and I have lost
almost 25 lbs, quit smoking and I am getting so much sleep I can't stand it.
Thank you all for the calls, prayers and well wishes.
my cell # is 386-546-1185 and if I am sleeping when you call I will try calling you back if you leave your number.

Best wishes Walter, get well soon!!

Hi Walter,
It's great that you are on the mend! Just don't rush things at this point. We are not as young as we once were and don't heal as fast.
Take care and get well! Prayers will continue.

I'm really glad to hear this, Walter. My mother-in-law had that and it's no picnic. Heal up fast, my friend.
-
Walt, that is what I call GOOD NEW'S.. Get well friend...

Good to hear from you Walter.
Get well soon!!!

I've been in a few of those places visiting relatives -- it sounds like you're in a grim one. Thankfully I haven't had to live in one.
Good luck getting out. ((Gawd but that sounded grim -- just get yourself out of there! And best wishes!)) Maybe the doc is trying to give you something positive to focus on. He may be trying to make sure you get all the treatment you need on a regular basis -- don't stint on the care when you get out; you don't want to be going back!

I talked with Ann Marie yesterday Walter and told her I would be praying for a quick recovery and for you not to flirt to much with the nurses... she thought that was funny... get well buddy...I will talk to you soon.

Good to hear you are on the mend Walter. Follow the doctors orders and take care of yourself.

It was good to hear ya on the phone last night Walter, sounds like things are getting a little better at least. Kick back and take a break for now, your health is your priority (and ours).
Best wishes for a speedy recovery. y1

Ditto...what Les said.

Hey Walter,
Get well, go home, kiss wife and kids and wow us with more of your fabulous kits.
Take care, you are in our prayers

Good to hear Walt, hang in there and I'll keep up the prayers.

Hey Walter,
Good to hear you are in GOOD spirits and on the mend, an answer to our prayers. Just do what the Doc's say.
God Bless

I see you're giving up the pernicious weed - best of luck, and stick at it! I know how tough it can be (I was a pipe-smoker for forty years), but quite apart from the fact that you'll feel better, there's a big up-side: if you do treat yourself to the occasional cigar, as I do three times a year (Christmas, birthday and wedding anniversary), it'll taste so great you won't believe it! My birthday's next week, and I just can't wait...
-
Glad for the good update, my friend! Hang on to the "No more weeds" thing and take good care of yourself! Don't try to do much for a while unless ya really feel like it! y1 n1

Walter, glad you are coming around. Now you need to follow the doctors orders. Try being in the hospital for almost two months while they patch you back together. Would have been out sooner if I had let the remove the leg to begin with. Enough about me, just get well and follow orders so we can look forward to some more great kits.
PS:It was Thanksgiving eve 1988 I took my last drag off a cigarette and I am still quitting. You never lose the urge.

Hey Walt, giving the nurses a hard time is a sure sign someone is on the mend.
Keep on keepin' on!

Hi guys,
I just wanted to let everyone know I am back home.
It's going to be a slow process getting back into the swing of things; but at least I'm out and back home.
Thanks for all the calls, well wishes and prayers.
