Northern Knights C/L Circle
« on: April 18, 2010, 04:10:04 PM »
By the time I got the vehicle loaded and the mower ready I headed toward the field.  After mowing and getting it back on the trailer I did some flying.  Need tons of work to get the old time pattern down.  I played with my planes for carrier.  Forgot how much fun it was doing the high speed 7 laps and then do the low speed without touching the water(remember anything outside the deck is water).  Got everything cleaned and loaded for the next session I decided to take a couple of pictures where I fly or try to fly mostof the time.  The view is to the NW and I am about 90 feet from the blocks of concrete I stand on.   H^^

How many local guys/gals want to set a day of the month to fly there? Z@@ZZZ

Looks like a nice circle Doc. I'd gladly come fly with you if you were closer! We have a church across the street that has granted us permission to use and mow circles as we wish. Big enough for 4 circles. Just don't have enough fliers to use that many! Maybe one of these days.  ~>

-Oh yeah ,the Field of Dreams thingy..."Mow it, and they shall come..."   LL~

Hey Kansas City, how come this post drops so fast?  I know there are at least two or three guys out there that occasionally partake of a little control line fun.   HB~>

Well I discovered this week that NE 96th is closed at both ends.  Now have to go to 108th and exit.  Turn right and right again to get to Hodge Park.  The locked gate is now on in past the football/soccor fields.  It is on the left and need a key to get in unless someone else in the club is there.  The grass on the circle hadn't been mowed for over a month so it took me and Sandy awhile to get it done.  Flew three differet airplanes.  One was trying the bigger venturi on the EVO .36.  Last flight was on the dependable Primary Force.  My usual pattern as I was getting tired from the humidity.  Now they are working on the road it shouldn't be too long before we are surrounded by houses again.
