My LHS didn't get their Flying Models March issue. Has anyone else received the March issue?

FM has come late before, but never this late!

That is good news, so I'll keep checking the LHS. I'm always looking for an excuse to stop there anyway.  ;D

I can tell you that Flying Models isn't responding to questions about the plans service. I ordered some plans almost 3 months ago. They charged my CC, but I never got the plans. I've sent a couple of emails asking what's going on, but no response.

Sigh...

Yup, same with back issues too. I ordered two back issue copys, got charged and nothing showed up. No reply to email either.

Anyone got a phone# for them?

Guys,

I've also experienced a bit of "heel dragging" in the service from Flying Models/Carstens Publications.  Waiting patiently, and emails don't always get the job done.

I would suggest picking up the phone and calling them.   I had to do that recently, as my order apparently 'fell in a crack', and it took several attempts before I got through to someone.   I think it's a rather small operation, and being in the NJ area, they probably have had a few "snow days" lately, though that's not an excuse for not having an answering machine.  When I finally got someone on the phone, they were responsive, and the problem was correctly promptly.

Phone numbers are in the magazine.  One is a "888" number.

Cheers.

Well, the March issue of Flying Models finally showed up at my LHS! Don't think it's ever been this late, but as long as it keeps coming I'll be happy.

HI Randy,

The plans service seems to mis communicate with the rest of the program.........

I called FM and talked to Lynn a couple weeks ago when I realized the plans I ordered (and were charged for) had not shown up.  She said I should receive them the next Tuesday or Wednesday.  I calle back this past Monday and she said she would get back to me before the day was out.  I still have not heard back.  I will call again tomorrow!  She is nice and polite, but I have NOT seen the plans yet!  (about 3 months now)

I have been kinda taken aback by the huge increase in their prices over the recent years.  I know about inflation, but I wish I could get that kind of return on my retirement account! LL~ LL~

I talked with them by phone last week and everything was fine thin.
Good luck.
