Tom, I believe Steve Kocher and his Dad, Fred, will post pic.'s later. I will later give a run down on equipment used as best I can. Our guys were very busy and I really forgot to take notes on what the guys were using. I appreciate the hard work of all our volunteers and some of the fliers who volunteered to judge. Special thanks to Brent Rogillio(CD-JUDGE-everything-pull test), Nick Iacussa(judge-set-up-pull test, John Blanchard(Set-up-flier-food-runner-pull-test), Charles Meeks-(Runner-flier-set-up)-He is a new flier I just met-worked his tail off running scores and helping us, Merle Pettigrew, Cathy Causey-Tab.-food, Kathleen Patterson-TAB-Registration, Maggie Blanchard( Raffle-set-up), Gil Causey(judge),Steve Millet(judge-tear down), Fliers that judged were: Andy Stokey, John Hill, Dale Gleason, Frank Williams.
We had a total of 6 events with 2 events being skill(B,I,A,E). Without the dedicated help of the people mentioned above this contest would have been a mess. Their efforts made it a very smooth operation. We had special awards given and also a unique incident all of which are in the Contest Results section of this forum.
We had several new contestants for the first time in Baton Rouge: Mike and Ron Waldron(Dad)- Port Richey, FL., Jim and Jo Ann Lynch-Memphis, TN, Don and Laura Shackleton-Atoka, TN., Courtney Tanner and Damarisse- El Dorado, AR. Jim Svitko-Ft.Worth,TX., Charles Meeks-Abita Springs, LA., Paul Taylor- TN.?, We really enjoyed their company. Don Shackleton and Courtney Tanner looked very smooth and polished going through the beginner pattern- I believe they are going to be very good pattern fliers.
