Help to identify monoline unit?

Hi all -
Does anyone recognize this?
It may be a homebrew from a speed flier in the Houston area - my brother Don, who gave it to me some years ago, lived there in the '90s.
Or a cottage industry product?
Is it worth anything?

The a looks like one of (oh, hell, I just had a brain fart!!!!!!!!!!!)  out of Canada.

He made mine and they are a great torque unit.

Looked a bit closer at it and mine is made by FH Speed Parts out of Vancouver Canada.

Oh, and by the way, Bill has been gone from us for a couple years now.

He also carried and made Speed Master Marine hardware and carried the Nova Rossi Marine Motors.

Hi Terry,
I probably gave that to Don some years back .... late 80's or early 90's, when Don was living down in SantaFe, I'm in ClearLake.
It originally came from the a local Houston speed guy, George Seigler, who passed away.
I also gave Don one of George's monoline handles some old speed planes I think and a jug of amyl nitrate.
For you to have these items, does that mean Don has passed away?

Hi Frank - great to hear from you!

Sadly yes, Don passed away in '10 due to kidney failure.
He and I grew up building model airplanes together and I greatly miss him.

I also have a few cc's of that AN left  .
I suppose his son Bryce has/had the bulk of his engines/airplanes, tho' he's had no involvement in flying since the late '90s.

Sorry to hear of Don's passing.  He and his son would come by my house from time to time.  I always enjoyed his visits ... a very articulate and positive person.  My condolences.

Your comments are much appreciated Frank.
Don and I never got involved in speed (I didn't even know this was a speed item) but he was very supportive of Bryce's teenage flying interests, which included speed and racing.
I've recently gotten back into flying and, finding this forgotten piece, wanted to find out what it is.

looks like an H&R C unit 20 or so dollars.

Just curiosity, as I have no thought of trying it, but as I know nothing of mono control (tho' I vaguely remember the Stanzell system from years gone by) could you describe the handle/line components and how it all functions?
