Help Identifying This CF Landing Gear
« on: October 27, 2022, 08:04:31 AM »
A friend bought a model from a guy with this LG on it. I like its height, slender legs and wide stance. Looks cool. I know the pants were made by Pol Prop, but he did not make the LG. Anyone know what it is, who made it and where I might get my paws on a set? Thanks.  -RC

It looks like one from Winship Models.  You can check out the dimensions here.  https://winshipmodels.tripod.com/carbon_fiber_landing_gear.htm

Thanks, David! Looks like you got it right.  I wonder if Dan is still in business?

Rick,
He pops up with Sparky and John Jordan from time to time, but he is not actively producing model airplane products.

Two things. 1) I have a plane with a Winship LG, and like it very much...not brutally stiff, like a lot of the CF LG's are. 2) It has CF wheel trousers that are pretty badly battered and needing replacement. So, who is "Pol Prop", and can you provide a link?   H^^ Steve

Pol Prop is Tomasz Jadczak. https://www.facebook.com/tomasz.jadczak.7

The link is his facebook page. He had some health issues and fell behind on CF prop orders, but all seem well now. Last time I messaged him, he was not making the CF wheel pants. I asked him to hit me up if he ever started up on those again. Super lightweight!  I wonder if Dan could be persuaded to knock out a few sets of that CF gear . . . (insert Godfather theme song.)  I might have to beg my friend to sell me that set off of his plane. He's not flying it!
