Help identify these engines

I guy gave me a box of around 75 engines, glow, spark and Diesel.
To either donate to the Brodak museum or sell and donate the proceeds.

Going through them, I came across these two.
1.5 CC and 2.5 CC, both with a stylized letter "T" on the bypass.
Could they be Taipan?
If so, what can anyone tell me about them?

definately Taipan , Id think . steel fins around 1970  . other looks ' Glo chief ' ish , Earlier . Maybe . Both valuable to Burford nutters , who should chime in .

Hi, Matt - thanks for the info.
The larger engine has the same "T" as the smaller one.
Although similar, it's definitely not a Glow Chief.

They look a bit rough and are missing needle valve assemblies but both have excellent compression.
I'll try and run them before I put them on auction.

Do you have any idea how they perform?

This is the Taipan 1.5cc.

The 1.5 is an early model Taipan series 67 Mk1 with the bright finished crankcase and one piece crankshaft. Later engines had a sand blasted finish and a removeable screw for the prop. The 2.5 is a Taipan Mk2 and is the least common version because it was the last of the 3 variants. The giveaway is an unbridged exhaust port. The Mk3 was released in '69 so yours will be from just before that.
