Help identify
« on: February 19, 2020, 06:59:17 PM »
First post in many years. There was a profile forward swept wing tailless  plane a while back, pics I remember plane was yellow and red. Thanks for any help, Mike Krizan.

My first guess would be a Dmeco "Sportwing".

There is also Larry Renger's "Fright Streak." This is a profile 1/2A. The one I've seen is finished in orange and black. You can see it near the back of the pack, behind a blue Corsair, at the Tony Naccarato 1/2A Fun Fly from 2018. (Just watch the video--and keep your eyes open around 1:51.) It is supposedly a very good flyer, although I can't recall stealing the handle to get my mitts on this one....

I forgot, Mike was describing a profile model so I may have wasted my guess. The Sportwing is a really cool little model though, and is a hoot to fly.  y1

Not wasted. Perhaps some of the exact details were a bit fuzzy after a few years, and Mike was actually thinking about a Sportwing?

Which reminds me, someone else here on the forum was building a Sportwing and wanted to change over to tricycle gear. I wonder if that project was finished? Enquiring minds want to know....
