Now to fill in the details.  This one is from the "502" series, which includes the Wildcat, Hellcat, Bearcat, Mustang, P-40C, Spitfire, Sea Fury, Fw190, Bf109, Yak-9, Kawasaki Ki-61, and A6M Zero. All are close to a target wing area of 502".  All are based on a same basic wing with appropriate tips for the plane.  The Spitfire and Sea Fury wings are based on the elliptical Epiphany 502 wing.
The Hellcat in the balsa before finishing weighs 32 ounces.  Finish weight budget is planned in the 4 to 5-ounce range.  This whole series is very consistent of the flying weight. For electric operation, the standard motor is a Tempest 2814, swinging a 11-5.5 APC, with an Ovonic 2200/4S 35C battery.  30 Amp Tempest ESC does the hard work, under guidance of a Hubin FM-9 timer.  BTW, the Ovonic battery only weighs 6.33 ounces.  This overall package is very efficient for this size of plane.  The 11" prop produces a lot of traction on this size plane.

I'll take it in standard Navy blue. Do you need my shipping address?

Pat,

After flying your P51D design for the last 5 or 6 years. I am looking a nice replacement. I think this looks like the one. Can you send me a price for the plans and a set of ribs to my email?

tstagg@goeaston.net

Thanks
Tim

Frank.  Good eye.  I weenied out and reclaimed the landing gear wire from my Fw190, which had an early demise from catching a weed on takeoff this spring.  The Hellcat wheels should definitely be on the outside.  For all, I'm pricing the 502 series kits for $192 plus postage.  Same price for IC or electric.  The electric motor is a Tempest 2814 at 850kv.
I'll attach the PDF files for the Hellcat and Mustang for you all to gander.  Feel free to request any others you would like to see.  Contact me at patsplans@yahoo.com or phone at (208) 871-9031.
