I have just been over on the MECCOA site and noticed they have tanks ,engine mounts, and racing wheels listed . Availability??
This may be old news so disregard if it is.
I have been using Hayes tanks since Dirty Dan suggested them for his Flight Streak world beater . Around here they have become the default tank for profile models .

for the tanks, it states UNDER CONSTRUCTION
With Mecoa, that can take FOREVER
-
I read that as the web page for them is under construction
but with MECOA you never know
The do clearly say to call to order... I expect--- as with a lot of MECOA acquisitions...they will sell off all the items they got with the Hayes name and existing stock..... but I doubt they will mold new Hayes tanks that we like
I recently got several of the preferred 4 Oz Hayes for BBTU set up--- from an E-bay seller..... but all of us who saw them, bought out all he had

I've been having good luck with 4 ounce Sullivan tanks for 40-sized profiles. They're not as nice as Hayes tanks, but I've been getting by. If I ever do another 20-sized profile I'll be trying out some of the 90 cc import tanks (and maybe a 75 or 80cc tank if there is such a thing).
Sullivan tank tips:
- Use the smallest diameter tube for the pick up that'll fit. Or one size smaller.
- Cant the pick-up tube toward the outside of the tank, so the clunk will still reach even if the tube's a bit stiff
- Test the clunk to make sure it reaches the top & bottom of the tank when you tilt the tank -- if it reaches one & not the other, try rotating the cap. Note that getting to within 1/4 inch is good enough.
- Test the final assembly to make sure it doesn't leak. If it does, with muffler pressure you'll get pressure up until the leak is uncovered, then the thing will go lean[/b]
- You probably don't have to screw around with a uniflow setup (Hayes tanks aren't uniflow) with a new engine on muffler pressure
- Even though it's a cheesy plastic tank, treat it with respect -- if you anticipate it being a cheap piece of crap, you'll assemble a cheap piece of crap. It may look like a sow's ear, but there's a silk purse in here someplace.
