The aerodynamics are very good and very similar to a Shark 45.  I have no experience with the RSM kit.
I prefer to scratch build most projects.

Hi Cory

The Hawker Hunter was a Bob Whitely design which he convinced me to kit (when I owned RSM). Bob told me that the basics of the model was the Shark 45 by Lew Macfarland and all he did was external details for a scale like look. All of the parts were laser cut for accuracy and fit and contest quality balsa was used for everything but the ribs (heavier 8-10# balsa for strength). This kit sold very well and was seen at many contests flying in both Advanced and Expert where it scored high marks. The model "presents" well in the air where it's clean, straight lines tend to enhance the crispness of the pattern for the judges.

Cory,
I have built the RSM Hawker Hunter. Wonderful kit and Eric is a joy to work with, if needed. It's a big CL plane and I packed in the the largest motor I could. I used a RoJet .65.  It's a great flying aircraft.
