Hawk's home!
« on: October 30, 2013, 04:16:00 PM »
My friend Hoyt (Hawk) Hawkins sent the following email: "I am still alive after falling on 5 may 2013.  Broke back in too places.  Had surgery and spent last five months in Nursing home....developed blood clots in both lungs.   am now at home, taking blood thinner every day.
Prognosis:  I may walk again without a walker, but it doesn't look promising.   Last of my golfing days and no more flying.".
I called him and he seems in good spirits.....
Hawk has suffered from Parkinson's since 1973.

It's good news....

That's great news! I've never met Hawk, but bought a DS .60bb from him long ago. We've been in contact by email ever since, except for a few periods when he disappeared without a trace (like this). I didn't know about his fall, but it's very good to hear that he's home and recovering. Go Hawk!  HIHI%%  Steve

Had wondered about Hawk in the recent past, but was afraid to ask.   Met him at a NATS along with Sparky.   Thought I had a picture of us together, but it disappeared some where.   Tell him to take better care of hisself. H^^
