The whole Paul Walker Trim articles were covered In Stunt News starting with the March/April 2014 through March/April 2015. In the July/August issue of Stunt News, Paul has an article on "Flying in the Wind."
The final article in the March/April 2015 is worth reading first. On page 41, in the last paragraph on the page, Paul writes: "I have also observed that many pilots can't see what their planes are doing wrong. this can range from the novice to the expert competition flier. This is when it is necessary to have a helper that can watch your plane and accurately communicate to you what is going on. It can also be beneficial to have an experienced pilot fly your plane to see what is wrong." Earlier in the article he said that after the Top 5, he flew a competitor's plane and was amazed at how badly it hinged.
My biggest problem is I can't see what the plane is doing trim wise. or I finish the flight and realize I can't remember which wing (inboard/outboard) was high or low or where it should be. My other big problem is I can't fly level at 5 feet inverted to check the wings level inverted.
I was watching an old Windy Master U video on youtube the other day, and he said something that was important. He said something like, "With a new plane, until you get the wings level, and the motor run as it should be, practicing the pattern is a waste of time."
Anyway, reading the year's worth of articles in Stunt News is time well invested.
