Happy Thanksgiving
« on: November 26, 2019, 07:15:55 PM »
Several thoughts as the Holiday season approaches.

First, I want to thank everyone on this site for all of the assistance re-entering the sport of flying control line in competition.  A whole lot of useful information is passed along on this site, as well as goods and services in-person, useful supplies via mail, etc.  The builders, flyers, manufacturers and contest officials are all appreciated.

Second, I want to express that I'm happy to have been drawn back into the arena via helping friends and families deal with the downsizing that happens as our cohort ages.  There is a satisfaction in getting items into the hands of folks who will enjoy them, a goal that can bring peace to a person or a family.  My business partner has noted that there is joy associated with achieving flight, as it says right on the box of a Sterling kit.  Myself, I decided to have some of the fun myself, enjoying a good season.

Third, while I'm glad that this site, and our country's culture, allows for quite a bit of name-calling in the interest of national politics, I'm also glad that we can have days at the flying fields and our various forums that focus on our enjoyment of the sport.

Keep 'em flying,

Peter

Most everyone has something to be thankful for.  Many, like me, have too many things to count.

Happy Thanksgiving all!

I have dozens of things to be happy about, but this Thanksgiving I am most thankful for my dad. He immigrated to this Country in 1904. Without that having happened, I could not say that the thing I am most thankful for is his decisions that allow me to live in the greatest Nation ever conceived by man! It's been 42 years since I could say that to you aloud dad. Thanks!

Well I made it through the day by watching how much I ate.  Great day also as I got to see a step grandson that almost didn't make it into this world as he was born 6 weeks early.  Can't thank GOD enough for watching over the young couple and the child.  Hope every one had a great day. H^^
