He was a superb draughtsman (British spelling!), and the drawings that always accompanied his engine reviews in AeroModeller were works of art.
You want to make 'em nice, else you get mad lookin' at 'em!

I didn't know that. Yes they were beautifully drawn - I'm certain that was all done by hand, not by CAD!   Thanks for sharing that tidbit about him.
