Happy Fourth of July
« on: July 03, 2012, 09:25:20 PM »
Hope you all have a great 4th of July.  I will be spending it with family, probably eating too much and remembering why we celebrate it.

Thanks for posting this, Mike!  And a Happy 4th to you!  It is our Wedding Anniversary, this is 41 years for us!  I appreciate the entire country throwing a big party for us! LL~ LL~ LL~ Actually one reason for marrying on the 4th of July is that I could never forget it!  Another reason is our first date was on July 4th.

Here in Michigan, having legalized the unlimited sale of fireworks, we expect the loudest Independance Day in history.

You can't go a 1/4 mile without passing a fireworks-for-sale tent.

We have already topped records for the loudest non-holidays ever.

Florida has Fireworks tents all over the place also. This is the evening our dogs go nuts from the noise.

I don't do fireworks, need the money for CL models.

Will have friends come over but they won't bring fireworks.

Good day to celebrate!

I got up early today and raised the flag.  I stood there with more than a few tears in my eyes as I remembered my Dad, an immigrant to this wonderful land.  Dad served in WW1 and gained his citizenship because of his service.  His brother Frank also served in WW1 and was KIA in June of 1918 at the age of 17, haven lied about his age to get into the Army.  He lies at peace in France in a beautiful piece of America.  my youngest son served in 'Desert Storm", and his son Logan is a Marine serving in Afghanistan.  Dispite all the errors that our nation has lived through I still believe that the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights and our Constitution were truly inspired by God and remain the greatest pieces of the English language that have ever been written.  how else could a very comman man like me ever have achieved anythbiung of lasting value? Thank you Dad, Thank you Frank, thank you all you wonderful old men that have kept our nation free, and an everlasting prayer of gratitude to the God that made all this possible.

Happy Birthday to our great nation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A heart felt thank you, to those who have sacrificed to make this country what it is.
And an extended middle finger to those who tear it down.
