Title: Hank Forbes
Post by: peabody on January 22, 2013, 07:23:25 PM
I received an email from Bob "Mr. 1959 Nats" with the news the Henry Forbes has passed.
Hank was a great guy that always made a visit to the Flushing site enjoyable.
Hank will be missed by all that knew him....

Never met him, but understand that he was among the better-known NE flyers.  Sorry to learn of his passing.

Hank was stricken by cancer almost a decade ago, yet kept his humor and great smile throughout.

I can't remember which Bob "Mr. 1959 Nats" was. Did you mean Mr. 1969 Nats? Aren't you taking your fish oil?

I just got an email from Dave Gardner that Lee Uberbacher passed this weekend. Lee called Howard Saturday around 11am to say he was on his death bed with the flu bug and wouldn't be able to come over for the NW Skyraider's annual luncheon at Howard's. It's now Sunday evening, so it wasn't long after that last bit of humor. Lee was a Jersey native, but also lived in Dallas area for awhile.
I'll go start another thread about LU.  D>K Steve
