His sbcglobal.net account. He did the  right thing to correct this problem by changing his password.

sbcglobal is one of the e-mail hosting outfits that are prone to hacking and thus junk/spam/virus e-mails being sent out under their users' names. These providers are typically the junk providers: aol, yahoo. hotmail, msn and some others. Google gmail is an alternative that doesn't seem to be prone to being hacked in this way, but I would not recommend anyone who is concerned about the privacy of their e-mail content go to gmail. Best is to find provider where it costs a few $s a year so you can get secure and private e-mail accounts.

As an example, I purchased my domain name wrlee.com many years ago through a web-hosting company. I established my own and my wife's e-mail address as well as a few others for various purposes, all hosted by the website hosts. All totally under my control, all totally private and all secure from the bad software that aol and yahoo and  ... use. It costs me something like $10/month.
