H C Quek's Yak 9d
« on: April 20, 2009, 10:20:38 AM »
Gentlemen,

This is my latest Control Line Stunter.  Have not got it into the air.
The Yak 9d is a slightly modified (by myself) H C Quek aircraft. The model was published in Aero Modeller in Feb 1971.  This is a Way Stand-Off Scale.

You will notice the Pilot in the cockpit is a shifty looking lad.  Be very careful if you happen on the same circle.

Also, attached is the actual Yak 9d aircraft the paint scheme is taken from.

engine, muffler, & fuel system    15.8 oz
wing & landing gear system       16.7 oz

vertical stabilizer & rudder          0.8 oz
horizontal stabilizer & rudder       1.8 oz
  covering & paint                       8.2 oz
  tip weight                               1.2 oz
  CG (tail weight)                        1.3 oz
      TOTAL WEIGHT                   57.5 oz
