Howdy, I was looking through my new Tower Hobbies flier and noticed a GSM 60 listed for $89.00 on page 39. Has any one tried these? They are ringed and we could get Jim Lee to make a venturi for the application. I like the ST 51 that I am using but wondered if these would have more 'ump.
Stay warm!

Hi Terry,
If you look at the specifications you will see that the engine with muffler weighs 26 oz. , which means the engine alone weighs 20-22 oz. The Tigre 60 was around 12 oz.so that is 8-10 oz. of extra unproductive weight that you will have to design around. HB~> ( Even the Saito 72 weighs less than this.) You will also have to produce a venturi for this RC engine. Engine timing???? ??? probably typical RC timing. You will then spend 20.00-45.00 on lighter weight muffler- If you can find one?? A muffler, venturi and needle valve will drive your price up to $120.00 - $140.00.
You would be much better of going to Brodak and buying a control line ready to use Aviastar 61 that weighs 11+ oz. for $149.00 and just go have fun. I don't want to rain on your "bargain hunting parade" but something that is low priced but less useful may not be a very good "value" in the long run. Just a thought.
Best Wishes,
Pat Robinson

Thank you so much for the information. That is one heavy brick. not a good choice at all.
