Went to swap meet yesterday, good amount of things for sale, alot of sellers and alot of buyers! Anyway after the auction someone, I don't know his name, came in with an incredable yellow Mustang. I believe it was designed by Bob Hunt. It was truly a work of art. Does anyone have any photos of it. I didn't have a camera with me. But would love to see it again. Thanks John

The yellow Mustang is Mike Palko's was conceived along side SuziQ, Young Daniel's Mustang. Bob had/drew the plan...
Mike has an electric motor in this one, and the all up weight (before and after flight) is 61.5 ounces, I believe.

Far too dumb to post more than one....These pics are from Bob "Champione"

Looks like Mike has outdone himself. That looks like one gorgeous airplane. You know Jersey is a little far for me to attend. Have fun, DOC Holliday

I am finishing up another "Hunt" Mustang. I redrew the fuselage to the "B" configuration to give it a more scale look. Nice wing, complete with cuffs, that appears to be the Saturn airfoil. The lost foam cradles are in four pieces to get the "cuff" center sectons.
Paint scheme will be the Paul Mantz #46 racer.

The ready to fly weight is actually 67.5oz. Dan flies his on ~6 fl. oz of fuel which is ~5.25oz making it a comparable 62.25oz. Weight wasn't a big concern from the get go.
The profile was changed very slightly in three areas, the lower cowling, the canopy (the mold was made by Dan and myself, Dave Midgley did the vacuum forming) and the gear doors. The most dramatic change is the vertical fin.
I will post more pictures and info when she is done.
Thanks for the kind words :), Mike

Looks awesome Mike!
You'll have to cough up how you did all those checkerboards sometime!
Has it flown yet?

Hi Steve,
I did the checkerboards the only way I knew how, the HARD way!!! n~ I have a bunch of pictures of the checkerboard process. Nothing new though, just lots of fine line tape. It is unflown, I still have a few small details to finish.
Hi Kim,
Thank you!!
Thank you!!
