NBC nightly news just ran a segment on this.

All I needed to hear was that the pilot thinks it was a drone. At 175 knots and being busy with check lists how can he say that? Furthermore it was checked over and put back in service, there should have been some damage. But it fits their narrative and is on the internet so there's no need to investigate further. More likely a b.1.r.d. drone.

Of course. But it does illustrate how hated and despised drones have become, and how obvious a safety issue they are.
