Great News and Sad News
« on: July 29, 2022, 12:21:57 PM »
It is no secret that John Paris, Michelle Lee, Kathleen Patterson, and Colleen Gilbert did a fantastic job running the smoothest Nats in recent history. Well, John and Michelle announced they will come back in 2023 to run our National Championships again! All of us in PAMPA could not be happier. Along with the AMA review of our final day, next year’s event will be wonderful.

I learned from John this morning that we all have lost a terrific guy. Bob Brookins passed away yesterday. Bob was an active volunteer at the Nats for years. His smile and willingness to help anyone were just two of his terrific character traits. Our sympathies to Elaine and their family....

So sorry to hear about Bob. We spent a lot of time together over the years at various contests. He probably launched my planes as much as anyone. He will be missed.

So sad to heat of his passing. I knew he was in hospice. Always enjoyed Bob and his wit. He will be missed.
