Great day at the Peoria contest
« on: September 10, 2006, 06:12:17 PM »
Thank you Peoria Area Wire Flyer's for putting on a good contest. There were 12 entrants in expert and the wind was difficult to say the least. Top three were Matt Newman 569 - Allen Goff 547 and yours truly RC Storick with a 530. I also took (for the third time in a row) the pilots choice trophy with T-Bolt #2.

The best thing of the day for me was ,they were raffling off some prizes and I saw 2 Geiski Noblers. I said one was mine and to my surprise my ticket was the winner of one of them. Thanks again for a great time!

Well the video's came out darker than I hoped for but as promised here is the first one.

Great job Sparky! Doesn't look like your gonna need all 20 gallons to get back in shape! When you gonna build that Nobler?

I took some but I have to wait till tomorrow when I get a new Mother Board for the graphics computer to up load them. My coach took Movies of mine and Matt's flights and they will be up soon. Christ Rogotti took pic's and when he gets home I am sure he will post those as well.

I will build the kit this winter.

I would like to add one of the reasons I did so well has to be credited to the PA.75 set up. The added power to pull through the wind.

Here are some pictures of the P-47 and Sparky with his Expert trophy plaque and Pilots Choice award. Also some additional pictures of other fine folks and airplanes.

Here is my flight in Peoria. It came out dark but you can see halfway through. Guess the next investment is a professional video camera.

Robert I used windoze media player and was able to adjust it for a halfway decent view.

watching you lean back against the pull of the plane, I realized one more reason why you emphasise building light.   **)  You need to keep them light or get some more lead in your a##.   **)

Seriously though even a stunt beginner like my self can see a lot of pattern improvement over your previous video and the old one didn't look all that bad.
