Grandson's first flights
« on: January 23, 2009, 08:57:50 PM »
Did not get up on the forum until tonight.  Been busy with crossing duty, working on new plane and the vast temp change.  If I would have had time I would have made the 45 minute drive to the flying field to fly with John Bender.  Instead I took the grandson over to the school where I do crossing duty to fly the Flite Streak Trainer.  Didn't realize how out of shape I am.  Third flight he was mostly on his own.  The landing wasn't the best, but, he didn't break the plane or prop.  Maybe we will have more time the next time out.  Temps were in the 60's last night.  Today high was mid 30's.   Having fun,  DOC Holliday

Hey Doc! I can't wait until my grandson is able to spin around in circles with me!! I already have his first plane ready and i have test flown it several times while he watches, it is a little coroplast design with a cox babe bee, when i finish he always says " that's the best flying airplane you have grandaddy"!! He is only 5 but hopefully this summer he will be able to join in .  Good luck with your grandson, hope he keeps it up i know he will make grandaddy proud!!   Ray

Super Doc, can't wait until I can get my grandsone Luke (he is only 18 months old) out in the middle.  For that matter I would love to teach my granddaughters to fly as well.  Post some pictures.  See you at VSC Doc.
