Title: Got to go flying today! Wooo Hoooo!!!!!!
Post by: Bill Little on September 03, 2007, 06:18:25 PM
Flew the Werwage Vulcan today.  It is even better than I dreamed it would be!

Aero Tiger 36, going to do some trimming this weekend, but it flew right of the board.  It will not need much it seems, third flight was a full pattern (although I was real rusty!). Gonna need to tweak the outboard flap slightly, it got broke during the finishing process and I think the horn bent slightly.  No line tension problems anywhere, no hunting, it turns on a dime and gives 9 cents change, tracks great, seems to turn insides and outsides pretty even, and it locks on bottoms as good as any plane I have ever flown.  Just goes to prove the "blind hog" theory that I seem to operate on!  LL~

Good lookin' plane, Bill. I don't see why you should have such a problem getting to go flying. You can use the practise field, right? You got some Freshmen or Sophmores football wannabe's that need brownie points, right? Work the problem! Have fun trimming that puppy out... H^^ Steve

Hi Steve,

Thanks!  I had to hang up the whistle and cleats this year........ 34 years but the health just doesn't allow me to be out in the heat anymore.  It's like loosing a large part of my life (I have been in football for 49 years! LOL!!) but diabetes, dehydration (previous heat stroke) and all just made the decision for me.

I did fly at my practice field today!  But, before it was never light enough for me to fly, except on Sundays, when we got through with practice/meetings! LOL!!   y1

Actually, Dennis, ther ARE some pretty bad places in the paint job......... LONG story, and all my fault!  But I had to just go ahead and finish it the best i could.  I've been waiting to have this one since I watched Billy win Classic at th '96 NATS

Good thingis, I think it is going to be one of my best flying planes ever! ;D

Bill,

Well, it may have a 10 foot finish, but it sure looks good in the photos. Glad you're back at it.

Man, there is just something about taking a stack of wood and supplies and ending up with something beautiful and good flying on the ends of the lines.

I'll post again Brother Bear, it got deleted too! That is one gorgeous bird. Im sure you'll have it dialed in in no time. You should consider this paint scheme for your RM 576! That would be soooo fine! Glad you got to fly! we only had rain most of last weekend here in H-town!
Take care man,
