Wow Scott,

That is a great looking Ringmaster. I really like the numbers especially that 21 oz (might be tough in a strong wind  ;D) That is also a neat prop -- what is the source for them?? I trust it will add some flights to the Fly-A-Thon total come Oct. 6th - 7th!!

That is a beautiful Ringmaster!!!  BW@ BW@

I remember building, at one time, a Ringmaster together with an old friend, circa 1971-72. We built them in 4 hrs one night, in his house. We were amazed at 5 min. epoxy then. With Ambroid, Solarfilm and epoxy, we flew the next morning!

I am searching for a Ringmaster to build but they are going for +$100 on E#@Y!!!!  HB~> HB~>

If I can, I'll do the flyathon...

To answer the questions about the Vess Prop.

It's the only prop I've tried on the Ringmaster. IT works that good.

Vess Props are made in china. ALL of the props I've bought are perfectly balanced and finished with a high gloss.

www.vessaero.com

IN the index go to sport props.
The hobby shop here sells them for $6.59 for the 10x4

OH flying in the wind...........no problem. My issue is the plane is way to much fun to fly.  <=

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

Did you scratch build it or is it a kit?

Thanks!

Gee, Don't buy a Ringmaster to BUILD off of Ebay. Those old kits had terrible wood. People run up the price because they think that the old kits are collectible.

I will attach a file for a public domain Ringmaster S-1 plan that you can take to your local copy shop or office supply and print a full sized plan. The plan has all the ribs and parts full sized. You can get Eric Rule at RSM Distribution to cut you a set of ribs if you don't want to cut your own . http://www.rsmdistribution.com/index-2.htm

The whole plane should come in at at under $50 or even less if you have some good balsa just sitting around that you can use.
