You have to love it...and this is what modeling is all about when someone thinks outside the box and comes up with a fun craft to fly. Maybe Dan can get his Pulse jet engine fitted in there somehow !

Nothing like having fun while trying something different.   I think we have gotten too competition oriented.  I like it.

No need for airfoils or concern with CG's.

Just fold it and go!

Got to be interesting guys.

Double kudos!!

Not a real good idea to catch any plane with engines (motors) running.

Floyd,

If you listen to the tape and look carefully, you will see the pilot killed the engine just a tad before his helper caught it.

It was close.

Also, as you said, not really a good thing to do, electric or not.

Don't know if this was the first flight, but certainly a great time for all involved.

The hobby, doing what it's suppose to do. Bring enjoyment into lives.  H^^

This could never be built and flown in CL.

To much time would be wasted arguing about construction methods, materials, airfoils types, bellcrank placement, MAC's and CG's, prop efficiency, P factors, electric or IC, plus if it can't stunt and do the AMA pattern, why even bother?   n~

Hmmmmmm....
I guess fun is a matter of opinion.   Looks like a complete waste of time, money and foamboard to me.

However flying the actual paper ones is fun...

I guess this is what Park Fliers Inc. do for fun!

Phooey.   Z@@ZZZ

I loved it. I am 'easily inspired'?  Not really. It was truly unique.

You mean I am not allowed to catch a Bi Slob while in hver mode???   I've seen a lot of planes caught while still airborne, especially one particular stunt that died inverted over asphalt.
