That's a shocker, I know. Got it all assembled and ready to go flying today, but the weather is too good for that.  ;)  Here's the link to the stuff I bought. Cool thing is, it'll work with all sorts and sizes of props, AND it came with a 1/2" chuck! The only problem I see is that it'll only work with right hand rotation props. <grin> y1  Steve

No reverse switch?

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

Steve,

Switch any two motor wires and it'll go the utter direction  ;D But I think you knew that already. y1

Good luck, Jerry

Yeah, switch the wires...sure...ain't happening. Mike Potter brought this up...adding a DPST switch, but alas, no room for that. His solution is to have two starters, one RH and one LH. It would be possible to add a spacer in there, just for that DPST switch, but Mike already has extra starters and Makita batteries, so his solution works for him. And best of all, I don't have to worry about it, because all my IC's only run the proper direction. FWIW, we both had to make some mods to get the assembly done. I sent an email to FinerEdgeMfg, detailing our problems and suggested fixes. This is a damned fine concept, plus I didn't have a cordless drill, so it made sense for me to buy the whole Makita kit. Don't tell the wife!  n1  Steve

FYI, got a reply from Kevin Madsen, the owner at "A Finer Edge Mfg.".  He said that the reason I had problems was because my Sullivan starter is an antique version. Also, I should have removed the blade contacts to solder them. Um, that wasn't in the instructions....Kevin sent me a link to a set of photos that would have helped a lot with assembly. He also said he likes the Hobbico starter's switch design a lot better, and it seems to be more reliable. If you order one of these adapters, make sure you get the assembly pictures!  y1 Steve
